The Slight Edge to Positive Change

Many people achieve their goals by using a technique called affirmation. It’s basically the process of convincing oneself that you can do something, and so your subconscious will take that not as a hope or a blank statement, but as a reality, because it doesn’t have the ability tell the difference. So for example if you were auditioning for something, and you act as if you knew the part was yours, this won’t make you look vain, instead it’ll prove high self esteem and might help you greatly. This is one of the benefits of affirmation.

I have always enjoyed reading various editions of “The Tao Te Ching.” I find the words calming and stimulating at the same time. Calming in the peaceful nature of the lessons. Stimulating in that the passages cause me to reflect on my own life and actions and how they relate to the world around me.
